Former El Pasoan makes a difference. Local author reads to St. Mark’s School third graders possibly inspiring a new generation of writers.
Tony Lovitt, author of “The Cat With Twenty Toes,” an NMSU graduate who made his mark in El Paso decades ago, returns to Sun City 44 years later to read to kids. Lovitt never thought about being a children’s book author until the death of his daughter’s cat, Mina.
Lovitt hope his stories help children deal with death and diversity. If he can inspire just one of these children, he said he’d be grateful.
St Mark’s third grader Sasha commented, “I learned to just follow your dreams.”
